Winter shooting

In south-western France, winter offers an exceptional setting for stalking roe deer. This form of hunting, renowned for its demanding nature and subtlety, tests the hunter’s patience, discretion and observation skills. In winter, roe deer gather in herds in search of food and become more visible in open clearings and harvested fields. However, managing roe deer populations is essential to maintaining a healthy balance. We therefore recommend that you approach and target young roe deer. These shoots are concentrated during the winter period, from December to February, throughout the day. You can be guided in the following departments:
- Gers,
- Landes,
- Pyrénées Atlantiques.
To ensure you are in the best possible conditions, we recommend that you wear warm, discreet, comfortable and camouflaged clothing. You can bring your own rifle, preferably of the calibres listed below, or use one of our rifles available for hire.
- 22 Horne
- 22-250 Rem
- 243 Win
- 270 Win
